Nestled in the heart of the historic Galle Fort, The Bungalow Galle Fort is a premier dining establishment renowned for its exceptional culinary experience and unparalleled service. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Waiter to join our dynamic team and contribute to our tradition of excellence. This role is ideal for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, respectful environment and is committed to creating memorable dining experiences.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a reputable international hotel or restaurant chain, with mandatory overseas experience.
- Possess relevant hospitality certifications and qualifications.
- Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with guests and enhance their dining experience, with the ability to provide evidence of guest reviews on TripAdvisor or Google Reviews mentioning the candidate's name.
- A proven track record in delivering standout service in a busy restaurant setting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and elevate the restaurant's high service standards.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, setting a positive example in all aspects of service.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing their needs and preferences.
- Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all guests.
- Actively promote the restaurant's offerings and encourage guests to share their experiences through online reviews.
Working Conditions:
The restaurant operates for lunch and dinner; this position requires single shifts. Enjoy 6 days off per month, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Compensation and Benefits:
- A competitive base salary of LKR 40,000 to 50,000.
- A ttractive service charges, with averages of LKR 80,000 to 120,000 during peak season and LKR 40,000 to 60,000 during the off-season.
