Position: Accountant

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full-Time

We are on the lookout for an analytical, energetic, and self-motivated Accountant. This pivotal role demands a positive-minded individual who is adept at managing responsibilities and completing tasks within set deadlines. The successful candidate will be the cornerstone of our finance function, driving the financial health and strategic planning of our company.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Reporting: Provide comprehensive financial reports on budgets, accounts payables/receivables, expenses, etc., advising management on potential impacts on the company and future business ventures.

Financial Oversight: Develop long-term business plans based on detailed financial analysis, including cash collection, deposit reconciliation, and ensuring safe handling of funds.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments. Handle accounts receivable by generating invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.

Business Analysis & Decision Support: Deliver incisive business analyses to aid management decisions, covering profitability assessments, inventory analysis, and feasibility studies for new projects or expansions.

Cost Control: Monitor and control costs by analyzing expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost-control measures.

Budget & Cash Flow Management: Oversee budget monitoring and management, perform cash flow forecasting and analysis, and ensure optimal fund management.

Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, assisting with tax audits, and staying updated on tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Age: Below 35 Years.

Education & Certification: Associate Membership in ICASL, CIMA, ACCA, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.

Experience: A minimum of 5 - 8 years in a similar capacity, preferably in a commercial establishment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software will be considered an added advantage.

Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Sinhala, both written and spoken.

Personal Attributes: Strong analytical, multitasking, and planning capabilities with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
