RESORT MANAGER

Thompukandam - The Village Resort, a charming oasis in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka is looking for a Resort Manager to manage our property Thompukandam - The Village Resort in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the Resort Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of our boutique resort. Your primary goal will be to ensure that guests have a delightful experience and that the resort runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guest Services: Ensure that guests receive the highest level of service from arrival to departure. Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.

Staff Management: Supervise a small resort staff, including front desk personnel, housekeeping, and maintenance teams. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance and support as needed.

Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort, including housekeeping, maintenance, reservations, and guest services. Monitor inventory levels, manage expenses, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Revenue Management: Develop and implement strategies to maximize resort revenue, including room rates, packages, and upselling opportunities. Monitor occupancy levels and market trends to optimize pricing and promotional activities.

Marketing and Sales: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract new guests and retain existing ones. Collaborate with sales channels and travel agencies to drive bookings and revenue.

Property Maintenance: Ensure that the resort is well-maintained and presents a welcoming and attractive appearance to guests at all times. Oversee regular maintenance and repair activities, as well as any renovations or upgrades.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in hotel or resort management, with a strong understanding of hospitality operations.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Strong communication and customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of hotel management systems (eg; online booking platforms)
