Background
ChildFund International is a non-sectarian and non-profit development organization working in 24 countries to HELP children living in poverty to have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to bring lasting changes to their communities.
ChildFund Sri Lanka has been active in Sri Lanka since 1985 and our interventions are aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for infant, young children, and youth to reach their full potentials through improved health, nutrition, education, and skills. We endeavor towards building a safe, protective, and enabling environment for children at home, within the community and in society. Child development and protection programs in Puttalam and Anuradhapura districts ChildFund Sri Lanka has been implementing its child development and protection programs in Puttalam and Anuradhapura since year 2000, benefiting over 50000 deprived, excluded and vulnerable children through emergency response/recovery program and different life stage specific interventions such as community-based health and nutrition, education quality improvement, life skill enhancement, vocational training, and livelihood support for youth, child protection etc. The activities under these interventions are designed and executed in collaboration and partnership with community-based organizations and government stakeholders.
The assignment:
ChildFund Sri Lanka intends to hire consultants on assignment basis for a period of six (06) months from 19th April 2024 to 18th October 2024.
We are planning to hire a consultant for the below-mentioned role.
An administrative consultant is responsible for providing expert advice and support in various administrative functions to help organizations streamline their operations, improve efficiency, and achieve their strategic goals. Consultancy fee and other conditions
1) The consultancy fee for the period of 06 months is negotiable. The consultancy payment will be made monthly, based on the accomplishment of targets agreed at the beginning of each month.
2) The applicants other than program support consultants, must have motorcycles and a riding license. The fuel expenses will be reimbursed at the end of each month after calculating the number of kms done for the period that are pertaining to the field visits.
Possess a basic Degree or equivalent qualifications in the relevant area of responsibilities. Consultants - Program support should have a degree or diploma level qualification in the relevant subjects and at least 2-3 years' experience in an NGO setup.
Thorough knowledge of the socio-economic conditions of the families in these locations and experience working with children will be an added advantage.
