ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE/ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, billing, and collections.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Handling all Tax affairs of the company (VAT, IT, WHT, PAYEE, etc)
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes are efficient and effective.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus.
Proven experience (1-3 years) in an accounting role or similar position.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. - QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
