GENERAL MANAGER, RESTAURANT CHINESE

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager, Restaurant - Chinese to join Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Food & Beverage you will be responsible for the daily operations of our exclusive, one-of-its-kind, modern Chinese restaurant situated within the vibrant Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort. Your duties extend beyond the day-to-day management of operations; they involve shaping the overarching success of our culinary endeavour. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in defining the culinary narrative of our Chinese restaurant, seamlessly blending tradition and innovation to enhance the dining experience within the sophisticated ambience of our luxury Hotel.

In your role, you will actively participate in the conceptualization and planning of our Chinese restaurant, closely collaborating with the executive team to design the layout, curate menus and establish operational procedures. Your duties encompass the recruitment, training, and leadership of a proficient team comprising chefs, kitchen staff and servers. As a culinary leader, you will work in tandem with our Chefs to shape an authentic and innovative Chinese menu, fostering continuous refinement based on valuable feedback, seasonal ingredients and emerging industry trends. Critical to this role is proficiency in quality control, delivering exceptional customer service and possessing strong financial acumen. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing day-to-day operations, managing budgets, analysing financial reports and implementing strategies to optimize profitability, all while fostering a culture of excellence. Furthermore, your cultural sensitivity will play a key role in creating an authentic dining environment that authentically reflects Chinese culinary traditions. In your leadership capacity, you will be instrumental in training and guiding your team, instilling in them a steadfast commitment to excellence.
