Manager - Group Tax

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Analyze the tax Implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, Investments, and divestitures.

  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.

  • . Prepare tax forecasts and projections to support financial planning and budgeting processes.

  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support decision-making and resolve complex tax issues. Generate tax reports and analytics for management review and strategic planning purposes. Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax retums, Including Income tax, VAT, SSCL, and other relevant

  • taxes.

  • Coordinate with Internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary financial data and documentation for tax reporting purposes.

  • Review tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment of tax strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Provide tax-related guidance and support to Internal stakeholders, including management, finance teams, and business units.

  • Manage tax audits and Inquiries from tax authorities, including responding to Information requests and negotiating settlements when necessary.

  • Identify and assess tax risks associated with business operations and transactions, and Implement controls to mitigate such risks.

  • Conducting the annual review of Income tax computations of all Group entitles and presentation of findings from same to Group Finance Director

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified In CA/CIMA/ACCA.

  • Proven experience of 8 years in tax planning, compliance, and reporting, preferably in a managerial

  • role.

  • Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and Interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Tax knowledge on overseas markets (Singapore/India/Thailand/Indonesia/Myanmar) will be an added advantage.
