INTERN - ENGINEERING
(MADAMPE - CHILAW))
Agro Properties & Investments Ltd is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. You will be key in assisting the Accountant/Estate Manager on all operational activities and internal controls whilst meeting all KPIs and budgets.
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and supervise the production of toddy on the estate.
- Manage and supervise the picking, collection, and sales of coconuts on the estate.
- Manage and supervise the under-crops and inter-crops.
- Manage and supervise the tappers and other workers on the estate.
- Regularly maintain the estate by weeding, watering, fertilizing, etc.
- Take ownership of the estate tools and consumables inventory.
- Be responsible for tracking and maintaining consumable stocks, ensuring that there are no frauds or errors (differences), and following the company's rules and guidelines 100% of the time.
- Prepare all wage payments and other labor-related payments while adhering to the company's rules and guidelines 100% of the time.
- Follow the safety measures implemented for the people, assets, and workers of the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic level education qualifications are required (0/Ls or A/Ls).
- A minimum of 1-2 years' work in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge/Experience in managing/supervising an estate.
- Fluency in Sinhala and Tamil.
- Knowledge in Agriculture & Plantation Sector.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
