About us
We are a rapidly growing accounting firm located in Melbourne, Australia. We provide bookkeeping, GST lodgements and financial consulting services to a varied client base. Since the tax season is coming soon in Australia, we are providing taxation services under our tax agents as well. Due to the increased tax work expected, we are now looking for an experienced tax accountant who is ready to hit the ground running. This role will suite someone who has a home office set up ready to work from their own home.
Qualifications & experience
- University degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Part or full membership of a professional accounting body in Sri Lanka or overseas.
- Work experience following university education for 3 years or more.
- Experience in individual, trust and company tax return preparation using Access Tax software (previously known as Handitax) for Australian clients is a must. No need to finalise the tax returns but initial preparation experience is required.
- Already set up home office with a dedicated computer and fast Internet.
Willingness to learn and develop.
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to handle confidential client and business information.
Ability to meet deadlines and be reliable working remotely.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with a team who are working remotely. Be available to work full time.
Tasks & responsibilities
This role will be providing
including but not limited to,
I clients with bookkeeping and accounting tasks
Preparing tax returns using Access Tax software (previously known as Handitax) for individuals, trusts and Companies.
GST Returns
Communicate with our tax agents on their queries via email.
Other ad hoc tax related tasks
