Job Profile

Sponsorship Coordinator Location: Kotagala

The Sponsorship Coordinator provides specialized support for the implementation of sponsorship operations within the Area Programme (AP). The position supports the AP manager in ensuring Sponsorship is well integrated within the AP including assuring the accurate and timely processing of correspondence and monitoring of child well-being outcomes for all Registered Children.

Major Responsibilities

  • Plan sponsorship education and provide technical input on sponsorship messaging and transition awareness.
  • Promote the involvement and engagement of community and partners.
  • Coordinate overall process of child selection including timeframe, materials, documentation, etc.
  • Integration of sponsorship requirements with development process which ensure Registered Children (RC) benefit and participation.
  • Provide coordination to ensure Child Monitoring Standards are met.
  • Ensure sponsor communications activities are integrated and designed in such way so as to contribute to life skills and development assets of children.
  • Ensure preparation of Annual Sponsorship Budgets and Annual Business Plans.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Three (3) years of experience in an INGO/NGO/World Vision Sponsorship Operations/similar agency.

A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Social Science or related field.

Understand the Humanitarian industry.

Demonstrated collaboration skills.

Proficiency in English and Tamil/Sinhala languages.

Willingness to be flexible with hours when necessary and ability to travel often to the field.
