The North Technology Group (NTG) originated in 1957 with North Sails (the global leader in sail-making). Today, North Technology Group is a diverse family of companies serving marine and manufacturing markets worldwide. We are currently on the lookout for a Group Financial Accountant which is new role within the North Technology Group central finance team to provide support across accounting, analysis, and project related activities.

Role Description

  • Group Reporting
  • Analysis

Preparation of the NTG monthly consolidated management accounts.

NTG and UK sub stats audit support (file set up, submission review, coordination with subsidiaries to meet key deadlines).

Preparation of holding company bookkeeping (non-trading NTG entities).

Preparation of quarterly NTG covenant reporting for external debt providers.

Responsibility for producing the NTG monthly shareholder dashboards - ensuring accuracy of the numbers presented.

Deliver FX rates to all NTG subsidiary finance contacts for monthly reporting.

  • Preparation of supporting analysis files for budget and reforecast presentations.

Preparation of monthly analysis reports across key metrics - revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, operating cash flow and working capital.

Designing and developing analysis reports across all NTG divisions.

Assist in implementation of NTG consolidation tool-develop super user status.

  • Projects

Assist in the design of new reports required for our debt partner.

Produce the audit reporting packs and maintain the workflow or all submissions. Preparation of analysis for bi-annual board meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CA Sri Lanka) qualified including previous experience of preparing a financial consolidation.
  • Diligent with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent command of Excel, preferably including Power Query.
  • Ideally experience of using an ERP system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O; SAP; etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills whilst there is no people management required of this role, the individual will be interacting with accounting and management staff across the World.

Experience of working in an international workplace with experience of accounting for foreign exchange and working with staff in other countries.

Strong desire to improve processes and reporting.

  • Ability to use own initiative.
