- Possess approximately 10 years experience in banking sector including credit, operations and recoveries and or Auditing
- Possess a sound knowledge on portfolio management, branch banking operations, credit, banking regulations, governance, risk management and controls will be an added advantage
- Have an excellent knowledge in internal systems, report writing and analytical skills
- Have the ability to meet reporting deadlines and multi-task
- Be willing to travel outside Colombo (Continuously on very frequent basis) to carry out audits and investigations
You will be responsible for,
- Conducting audits on performing and Non performing portfolio, branch & credit operations and department audits) to ensure risks are assessed, controlled and are compliant with Internal policies and regulations
- Providing support to finalize the audit reports, and ensure that adequate audit evidences are gathered to support audit findings /recommendations with a view to adding value whilst maintaining the quality of audit work
- Analyzing portfolio trends,industry best practices and suggesting improvements and recommendations to manage overall impairment
- Writing & presenting clear & concise reports and conducting discussions with the auditee to ensure appropriate action is taken to close audit observations while quality of the output is maintained by the Department
- Undertaking special audits/Investigations and assignments as requested by the Head of Internal Audit / Board Audit Committee / other Board sub committees / CEO
