  • You should ideally;
  • possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldMaster's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Linux) preferred.

Possess 5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on managing Linux and Windows server environments in a corporate setting.

have In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2019/2022).

Proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory services (On-premise and Azure AD), including user and group administration, domain controller management, and group policy implementation.

have strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and security concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills., strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

working with banking applications will be an addedd advantage

You will be responsible for

lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the bank's Linux and Windows server environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Install, configure, and manage server operating systems, applications, and services as needed

oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Microsoft Active Directory services, including user and group administration, domain controller management, group policy implementation, and security management

ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices regarding information security and data protection. Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate cyber threats.

develop and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans for Linux and Windows servers to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.

manage the timely deployment of security patches, updates, and hotfixes for server operating systems, applications, and services to address vulnerabilities and ensure system integrity.

develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure the continuity of critical banking operations in the event of system failures or disasters

implement processes to proactively identify and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Respond to and troubleshoot escalated technical issues in a timely manner

conduct capacity planning assessments to forecast future infrastructure needs and ensure scalability to accommodate the bank's growing business requirements

maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Facilitate knowledge sharing among team members and provide training and mentorship to junior administrators

coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services, and ensure that SLAs are met

implement and oversee change management processes to effectively manage system changes, upgrades, and deployments while minimizing disruptions to banking operations

collaborate with other IT teams, such as cybersecurity, software development, and IT support, to ensure alignment of goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to provide updates, recommendations, and support
