HEAD OF DESIGN (INTIMATES)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to foster creativity and professional growth.

Develop seasonal design concepts and themes in line with brand identity, target market, and industry trends.

Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging styles, colors, fabrics, and techniques relevant to the brand.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into viable product lines that meet technical, commercial, and production requirements.

Coordinate with freelance designers and monitor their work.

Work closely with the ISMs to give outstanding service to the customers.

Oversee the development of sample garments, ensuring quality, fit, and adherence to design specifications.

Manage the product lifecycle, from concept to production, to ensure timely delivery of collections and meet seasonal deadlines.

Conduct regular design reviews and presentations to stakeholders, including senior management, to gain feedback and alignment on design direction.

Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to drive continuous innovation and improvement in product offerings.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, or related fieldMaster's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8-10 years) in apparel design, with a focus on managerial or leadership roles.
  • Strong creative vision and aesthetic sensibility, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Deep understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and manufacturing processesAbility to interpret market trends and consumer insights to develop commercially viable collections.

Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire creative talent.

Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and influence stakeholders.

Proven project management abilities, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.

Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing priorities in the fashion industry.
