The Pharo Hotel is a luxury banquet hotel located in the heart of Nittambuwa town with two modern banquet halls, restaurant, bar, 10 luxurious rooms and a rooftop swimming pool. We are in search for qualified, experienced and dynamic individuals for the following positions:
Bar Maniousa
Restaurant & Bar Manager
Job role
Coordinate daily Front of the House & Back of the House restaurant operations
- Ensure all customers are provided with superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Banquet Manager
Job role
- Managing day to day operations of the banquet facility including booking and confirming the most suitable venue for both corporate and social events.
Negotiating on pricing including sales maximization and menu pricing, preparing and sending out proposals and contracts, assisting with menu selection with great attention to details.
Up-selling menu items to maximize revenue while providing an increased value and exceptional experience to our guests
Effectively communicating and working closely with banquets, culinary and all other operational departments to ensure smooth execution of all events
Increasing potential new businesses by conducting sales calls and strengthening relationship with corporate clients
Continuously meeting and exceeding monthly revenue targets
Qualifications and experience
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar capacity at a star class hotel
- Should have an outgoing personality and pleasant appearance with excellent communication skills in both Sinhala and English
- Be a team player with positive attitudes at all times.
- Degree / Professional qualification in Hotel Management will be an advantage Age below 45 years
