The Institute for Health Policy (IHP) offers an innovative, creative and exciting professional environment with outstanding opportunities for advancement. We are looking for a highly motivated, competent professional with prior experience in project management and research funding environments, and with an interest in our core areas of work.

PROJECT MANAGER / ASSOCIATE

POSITION SUMMARY:

■The position is part of the overall management team. Tasks will include: identifying business and grant funding opportunities; supporting research teams in proposal development and grant writing; handling communications with sponsors and clients; monitoring and supporting project and grant execution; supporting events, field work and other logistics; developing SOPs for improved corporate performance and leading training of staff in procedures; and supporting communications efforts.

■The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in research or similar funding environments, demonstrate maturity and good interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently with little guidance or supervision.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is an added advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A post-graduate degree will be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with project cost management and budgeting, website and database applications and management would be advantageous.
