Job Description
JUNIOR EXECUTIVE/ EXECUTIVE - TRADE FINANCE
To manage the Import L/C Bills Checking, Export L/C Bills Checking, SVAT, Regulatory Reporting, G/L Reconciliation, Nostro Reconciliation section by providing accurate trade processing for Corporate, SME and Retail customers while managing operational risks and maintaining the service levels agreed with the respective business lines.
THE JOB
- Ensure that transactions are processed as per ICC rules UCP 600, Incoterms 2010, URR 725, ISBP 745
- Ensure that banks policies, procedures, guidelines and best banking practices are followed at all times Ensure that regulatory and compliance policies are adhered to
- Ensure that SWIFT messages are processed in line with SWIFT standards
- Ensure high quality and standard of work and service is maintained
Ensure that all documents supporting the transactions have been obtained

- Ensure that all related outstanding are monitored and escalated for regularisation if needed
- Ensure that correct fee income being collected
- To provide timely and accurate feedback on enquires from internal/external customers
- To maintain and evaluate appropriate MIS
- Review the process periodically to provide efficiencies and risk mitigations
- Ensure that correct interest income being collected
THE PERSON
Be fully/partly qualified in Banking & Finance or equivalent professional qualification
Be qualified in Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) and Diploma in International Trade will be an added advantage
Possesses 5-6 years' of overall experience in Trade Finance with at least 2 years of experience in L/C Document Checking
- Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Should be a team player who will work towards achieving a common business goal
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Possess time management skills
