Job Description:

  • Financial Bookkeeping:
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities for multiple clients, including processing payrolls, invoicing, and expense tracking.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

    Prepare and maintain cash flow statements, balance sheets, and income statements.

  • Client Management:
  • Communicate with clients to collect financial information, resolve queries, and provide financial reports.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.

    Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support client decision-making.

  • Tax Compliance:
  • Assist in calculating and filing VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance to clients.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist clients in developing budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.

    Monitor budget performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving measures.

  • Data Management:
  • Maintain organized and secure financial records, both electronically and in hard copy. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance, sales, and operations, to support overall business objectives.

    Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on financial matters.

  • Continuous Learning:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and software advancements. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Team Leads and Manager with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed. Perform other duties assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CMA or ACCA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.

Salary Range: 40,000 - 50,000

Work location: Colombo
