STAFF OFFICER - IT (KADAWATHA | WATTALA)
The Job:
As an IT Officer at Timex Garments (Pvt) Ltd, you will be an integral part of our IT team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems and providing support to our employees. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will contribute to the success of our company. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to make a positive impact in the apparel industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to employees on hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including computers, servers, and peripherals.
- Monitor the performance and security of our IT infrastructure and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Assist in the implementation of new technology initiatives, such as software upgrades and system integrations.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to address IT-related issues.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the apparel industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail or apparel industry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and IT best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA are plus.
