Marketing Executive
A new Educational Center emphasizing "educating differently" is looking for a young, energetic, self-motivated person for our Marketing Department. The Center is focused on offering training in vocational training certificate and diploma courses. The emphasis is on "employability" of the students as such we have a very strong placement department. Medium of instruction at the Center is English.
This person will assist the Center Manager and the Marketing Manager to recruit students for the various programs offered by the Center. He/she will also be responsible for attracting potential employers to the Center.
Summary of Duties:
- Create attractive leaflets which will be used by the Marketing Department for distribution & publicity
- Identify locations/institutions where students can be recruited, e.g., Schools, Tuition Centers, Factories, etc.
- Set up appointments with the heads of these institutions for the Center Manager/ Marketing Manager to visit
- Conduct marketing campaigns to promote the courses offered at UCEH
- Conduct Programs to increase awareness of the center in the area
- In charge of social media marketing of the Center - Facebook, Google, website, also be responsible for boosting our pages with various providers
- Communicate new ideas for marketing & courses as requested by people you communicate with
- Suggest new revenue streams that are not being exploited
- In general, suggest improvements to and implement the Marketing Plan developed by the Center Manager / Marketing Manager
- Maintain an up to date database of alumni and where they are now
Requirements:
- 2 years' work experience (private sector is a plus)
- Proficiency in English, Sinhala and Tamil
- Be able to set deadlines and work without supervision
Benefits:
- Salary: Rs. 50,000 per month
- On the job training will be provided - as recommended/requested
As a new venture, you will be expected to carry a lot of responsibility and work on your own without supervision. You will be working closely with the decision makers and prospects for advancement and promotion are very high.
