ACCOUNTANT (Peliyagoda)
We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough chief accountant to join our rapidly growing Company. As the chief accountant of the Company you would be responsible for managing and for ensuring smooth functioning of the Finance department, developing financial strategies, provide recommendations/ financial inputs to Top Management in financial decisions and strategic planning, and ensuring the Organization complies with all statutory requirements. This role requires extensive experience in all aspects of finance and accounting.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified from CA, ACCA, CIMA
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting would be an added advantage
- He/ She should be 35-42 years of age
- Minimum 06 years of experience in a similar capacity in the manufacturing environment
- Should have an analytical mindset, strong business/ financial acumen and negotiation/influencing skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with necessary parties including bankers and statutory bodies
- Excellent leadership ability with exceptional organizational skills and be able to operate independently and effectively
- Should be dedicated, hardworking and committed to meeting deadlines, demonstrate the highest level integrity
- Rigorous commitment to accuracy and detail
- Should be able to work in a dynamic and challenging work environment and ability to work under pressure and willing to take challenges
- Knowledge of handling VAT & other IRD matters
- Possess sound interpersonal and communication skills and being a committed team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the group
- Must be able to work long and extended hours
