A member of the David Pieris Group of Companies leisure cluster, David Pieris Leisure (Private) Limited manages Pearl Bay leisure park. Located in Bandaragama, Pearl Bay includes Sri Lanka's only world-class water park built and certified to European health and safety standards, a FIA/CIK certified leisure and professional karting track, as well as air rifle and archery ranges.
Events Executive
We are looking for an experienced Event Coordinator to be a member of the Event Organising Team of Pearl Bay
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful execution of events and entertainment, predetermined and stated in the company event calendar.
- Ensure professional coordination of all external event inquiries and proper management of event revenue and budgets.
- Liaise with stakeholders, vendors and suppliers, before, during and after the event to ensure proper management of the events.

Requirements
- A Diploma or an equivalent qualification in Event Management from a recognized university / institution.
- Minimum 3 years' experience, including 1 year in the leisure and hospitality sector. Good public relation skills to ensure high level of rapport with all guests.
- Ability to handle problems effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations, exercising good judgment and timely decision making, while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policies and rules.
- Excellent command of communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Sinhala (ability to speak Tamil and/or any other language/s would be an added advantage).
- Excellent supervising, negotiating and analytical skills.
