TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

LOCATION: FIJI ISLANDS

KEY OUTCOMES:

  • Projects, Planning, Monitoring and Reporting of Section Service Level Expectations and Initiatives. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the General Manager.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Prepare regular status reports for the General Manager, summarizing project milestones, challenges, and potential solutions.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive project reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Technical Support
  • Provide technical expertise in construction and real estate development to resolve project-related issues.
  • Review design and construction plans to identify potential technical problems and offer solutions. Coordinate with various technical teams to ensure project compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Research and Analysis
  • Conduct research on industry trends, new construction technologies, and materials.
  • Analyze market data to support decision-making and project feasibility studies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial and feasibility reports for potential real estate developments.
  • Administration Support
  • Manage the General Manager's calendar, schedule appointments, and handle correspondence.
  • Make travel arrangements, prepare expense reports, and handle other administrative tasks as required.
  • Organize and maintain project files, contracts, and other documents.
  • Coordinate the running of the Properties Annual Planning Workshop, and preparation of the Properties Department Annual Plan.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in a technical role within the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction and project management principles.
  • Experience in multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Group 2 clean driving license.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
