TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
LOCATION: FIJI ISLANDS
KEY OUTCOMES:
- Projects, Planning, Monitoring and Reporting of Section Service Level Expectations and Initiatives. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the General Manager.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare regular status reports for the General Manager, summarizing project milestones, challenges, and potential solutions.
- Assist in the development of comprehensive project reports and presentations for senior management.
- Provide technical expertise in construction and real estate development to resolve project-related issues.
- Review design and construction plans to identify potential technical problems and offer solutions. Coordinate with various technical teams to ensure project compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct research on industry trends, new construction technologies, and materials.
- Analyze market data to support decision-making and project feasibility studies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial and feasibility reports for potential real estate developments.
- Manage the General Manager's calendar, schedule appointments, and handle correspondence.
- Make travel arrangements, prepare expense reports, and handle other administrative tasks as required.
- Organize and maintain project files, contracts, and other documents.
- Coordinate the running of the Properties Annual Planning Workshop, and preparation of the Properties Department Annual Plan.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related field.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in a technical role within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of construction and project management principles.
- Experience in multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
- Group 2 clean driving license.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
