Overview of the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our BP Castrol team as Assistant Manager Lubricant Sales.

Industrial

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding our customer base, and ensuring the strong presence of our products. Your primary focus will be on promoting our products to existing and new customers while implementing strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets.

What you will do

  • Regularly visit market to promote industrial lubricant products to existing and potential customers.
  • Determine optimal marketing mix to achieve revenue targets in designated area.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand customer base and ensure market presence.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales, revenue, and expense reports to management.
  • Monitor deliveries and address concerns to minimize risks and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Introduce new products to existing and new customers, ensuring product availability.
  • Stay informed about emerging markets and competitor activities within industrial lubricant sector.

What equips you for the role

A Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or an equivalent Professional Qualification from a recognized institution.

Minimum 4 years' working experience in similar role in lubricant business, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Required skills to be successful

  • Fluency in Tamil would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English & Sinhala.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
