Job Description:

The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the plant uptime and smooth process flow in highly demanding situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Operations and Management Center: Manage the operations of the end-to-end production system, ensuring all control systems are operating within the constraints defined and are operating at their optimum performance envelope.
  • Manage Plant Breakdowns and Function Restoration: Conduct and manage platform audits, ensuring the health of systems, and where necessary carry out preventive maintenance activities. Attend to system failures and restore to sustain the production demands.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the product development team to ensure food safety and quality in new products and deployments.
  • Food Safety Management: Manage all aspects of food safety, including developing and enforcing safety protocols and handling any safety incidents.
  • Regulatory and Sanitary Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations ensure the company's compliance and enforce safety standards. Keep the entire facility in compliance with sanitary and hygienic guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 5 qualification or above preferable but not essential
  • Recognized apprenticeship in a related technical discipline (Food Science, Engineering, or a related field). Experience in the food processing industry, particularly in technical or quality assurance roles.
  • Familiarity with food processing and testing techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in IT skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data management, report writing, and presentations.
  • A proactive learner, open to acquiring new skills and methods relevant to the food processing industry.
