The Role
The 1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation seeks a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team. The COO will oversee our operational procedures, ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services across Sri Lanka, and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and enhancing our emergency medical response capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the foundation's day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Oversee the operational performance of our ambulance services, including response time optimization and service quality.
- Drive technological innovation within our emergency medical services, leveraging the latest in medical technology and IT solutions.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with our mission to provide free, high-quality emergency medical assistance island-wide.
- Ensure robust training programs for our emergency medical technicians and call center staff, emphasizing medical expertise and compassionate service.
- Cultivate partnerships with government institutions, international donors, and local communities to enhance the foundation's impact and reach.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the sustainability of the foundation's services.
Qualifications
- A Bachelors and Master's degree.
- At least 5 years of management experience
- Proven track record of operational excellence and innovation.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English, Sinhala, and Tamil being highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex government and donor relations.
