LAB SUPERVISOR | HOME SCIENCE

As a Lab Supervisor for Home Science you will have to perform the following tasks;
- Supervising students during practical sessions to ensure that they are following procedures correctly and safely.
- Setting up the lab for practical classes, including preparation of materials needed for cooking, baking, sewing, or other projects.
- Collaborating with home science teachers to develop and implement the curriculum, including planning practical lessons that align with theoretical learning.
- Assisting students with understanding and mastering practical skills.
Record Keeping and Documentation
- Managing the budget for the home science lab, making cost-effective decisions regarding supplies and equipment.
- Contributing to the development of lab policies and procedures to ensure the lab operates smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of science fields, especially Home economics, culinary arts, textiles.
- Diploma/certificate in textile industry/ cookery will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage the laboratory.
- Ability to establish good rapport with faculty members and students.
- Professional command of the English Language.
