IT Support Engineer
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Job Description:
- We're currently on the lookout for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team at AlphaClick in Colombo, Sri Lanka. As an integral part of our growing organization, the ideal candidate should be highly skilled and customer-focused, ready to deliver top-notch remote support services to our clients across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote support services, addressing IT issues for clients throughout Australia, from our office in Colombo.
- Efficiently handle support tickets, responding promptly to client inquiries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve level 1 and 2 IT issues, including hardware, software, and network problems, via phone and email.
- Assist in maintaining network infrastructure and perform basic Windows Server troubleshooting.
- Support phone systems (VoIP Cloud), Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace, and conduct regular backups and system maintenance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in using Active Directory, Office 365, and Microsoft Azure
- Advanced knowledge of data backup and disaster recovery tools, such as Veeam Backup. Strong networking skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hands-on experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Server, and Mac.
- Exceptional remote troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems for managing and tracking IT support requests.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT networking and Windows environments. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work according to the roster provided, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Availability for a 5-day work week.
- Submission of required documents: National Police Clearance Certificate and National ID.
Remuneration:
- Basic salary + travel allowance + Poya/Holiday pay + attendance and other allowances during the probation period (6 months). Salary will be reviewed after the probation period.
