MANAGER - FINANCE
We are looking for young, dynamic, energetic and self-motivated team player who is willing to pursue a career in insurance. Here's your opportunity to join the winning team and achieve greater heights in your profession.
Key Job Role & Responsibilities:
- ✓ Delivery of monthly financial statements and the annual audited financial statements by the deadline
- ✓ Submission of the monthly, quarterly and annual returns and performing any other regulatory reporting requirements
- ✓ Develop MIS function to provide accurate reports required for strategic decision making in a timely manner Responsible for implementation of SLFRS 17 & SLFRS 9 accounting standards liaising with appointed consultants
- ✓ Handle company's taxation in liaison with the Company's tax consultant
- ✓ Develop an annual budget, improve/drive financial plans and carry out periodic forecasts in line with overall company strategy and priorities
- ✓ Responsible for treasury function giving due consideration for approved budgets of the company
- ✓ Evaluate financial/investment reporting systems, recommend changes for improvements in policies, procedures, operating systems and financial controls
- ✓ Achieve financial KPIs including implementing financial controls, introducing best practices, foreseeing business challenges, and a strong ability to resolve them
Profile:
- ✓ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting and/or qualification from a recognized professional institute (ICASL/CIMA/ACCA)
- ✓ Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in Finance
- Experience in the Insurance Industry will be a definite advantage
- ✓ Excellent analytical skills
- ✓ Attention to detail and ability to work with strict deadlines
- ✓ Excellent communication skills
Location: Colombo (Head Office)
