Finance Executive

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Position Title: Finance Executive

  • Location: Sri Lanka

  • Business Unit/Site: NTG Shared Service Center

  • Reporting to: NTG Shared Service Head & NTG Financial Controller

  • Direct Reports: Finance Lead

  • Key Working Relationships: Finance Manager, Trade and ICO Customers/Suppliers, Project Managers, Sales team, Purchasing team

The North Technology Group (NTG) originated in 1957 with North Sails (the global leader in sail-making). Today, North Technology Group is a diverse family of companies serving marine and manufacturing markets worldwide. NTG Shared Service Center, which is one of the companies under the NTG, is looking for a Finance Executive to join our growing team.

Role Description

We are looking out for a young and dynamic individual with a can-do attitude & sound communication skill (English), to join our team. You will be entrusted to assist in driving progress in the following areas.

  • Post all AR and AP invoices/credit notes promptly.

  • Reconcile trade and ICO AR/AP and follow up with customers/suppliers.

  • Ensure supplier payments are made by the due date.

  • Process expense reports and reimbursement requests.

  • Handle customer/supplier inquiries.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to AR and AP.

  • Perform AR/AP related ad-hoc tasks and reports.

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded in the general ledger.

Skills and Qualifications

  • An Academic (Bachelors) in Commerce/Finance or related area & part qualification in CA/ACCA/CIMA.

  • 2-3 years of accounting work experience ideally in AP & AR function.

  • Previous audit experience is an added advantage.

  • Sound computer literacy with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Package (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint)

  • Prior experience working in a ERP (Dynamics 365 is preferred)

  • Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Attention to detail is crucial.

  • Ability to build good working relationships across all levels of the business. Fluency in English is a must.
