SOUS CHEF

  • Professional qualification from a reputed hospitality or culinary training institute with 4+ years' experience in a similar capacity in fine dining.
  • Age below 45 years.
  • Control and minimize food wastage and ensure that costs are maintained as per the budgets.
  • Monitor staff adherence to proper food handling methods. Ensure that high standards are maintained in all food presentations, Provide training and guidance to kitchen associates and control procedures in food-receiving areas.
  • Provide input into new menu development. creating original dishes to match the hotel concept.

CHEF DE PARTIE / COMMISI (PASTRY & BAKERY)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the Head Chef.
  • Prior experience working in star class hotel pastry and bakery kitchens preferably as a commis I or Demi chef de partie.
  • Ensuring that all pastry and bakery items meet the high standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
  • Overseeing the production of pastries, desserts, and backed goods to meet service requirements and developing new seasonal recipes and menus, and keeping up with the latest trends.
  • Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations and Knowledge and skills in safely operating a variety of kitchen equipment.

PRERQUISITE

  • Possess at least three years of experience in a similar capacity Proficiency in pastry and bakery techniques, including baking, cake decorating, and dessert making and ability to develop new pastry and bakery recipes, design desserts and showcase creativity in presentation Knowledge and experience in administration work and maintaining accurate records.
  • Should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment & working long hours.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years and above in the above capacity in a reputed hotel.

Salary is negotiable depending on the level of experience and qualifications.
