Finance Executive

POSITION
- Position Title: Finance Executive
- Location: Parkland Building, Colombo 2, Sri Lanka
- Business Unit/Site: NTG Shared Services - North Apparel
- Reporting to: Head of Business Transformation
- Direct Reports: Chief Financial Officer/ Group CFO
Role Summary
The North Technology Group (NTG) originated in 1957 with North Sails (the global leader in sail-making). Today, North Technology Group is a diverse family of companies serving marine and manufacturing markets worldwide. Future Fibres is the market leader in carbon fibre mast products for yachting. As part of the wider North Technology group, we are at the forefront of technology in the performance marine industry. We are looking out for a young and dynamic individual to join our Sri Lankan Shared Service Operation as a Finance Executive.
Role Description
- Accounting and Reporting
- Checking relevant supporting documents and arranging for payments and recording them in the system.
- Carrying out Bank reconciliations on all bank accounts.
- Generating invoices for all sales and recording them in the system.
- Managing relationships with suppliers/customers through timely payment and receipts.
- Assisting in the improvement and streamlining of the accounts payable/receivable process.
- Monitoring and recording daily transactions and carrying out other accounting and finance related tasks.
Skills and Qualifications
- An Academic (Bachelors/ Masters) & Professional Qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 3+ years of accounting work experience
- Sound computer literacy with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Package (Word/Excel/ PowerPoint)
- Strong Communication & Negotiation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail is crucial
- Ability to build good working relationships across all levels of the business
- Fluency in English is a must
- Excellent knowledge and experience in working in SAP finance module
