Assistant Manager Technical

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager with a strong technical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of our commercial properties, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all technical systems and equipment. The Assistant Manager (Technical) will work closely with the property management team, tenants, and vendors to provide exceptional service and ensure optimal building performance.

Responsibilities:

  • 1. Assist in the overall management of the property, including coordinating and overseeing maintenance, repairs, and improvements of technical systems.
  • 2. Conduct regular inspections of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify and address any maintenance or performance issues in a timely manner.
  • 3. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to schedule and supervise repairs, maintenance, and installations of technical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • 4. Monitor energy consumption, identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, and implement sustainable practices to reduce environmental footprint and lower operating costs.
  • 5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any issues promptly to maintain a safe work environment for tenants, employees, and visitors.
  • 6. Assist in the preparation and management of budgets for repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements related to technical systems.
  • 7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, equipment warranties, and service contracts.
  • 8. Respond to tenant requests and inquiries related to technical systems promptly, ensuring excellent customer service and tenant satisfaction.
  • 10. Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and communication materials related to property maintenance and technical operations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in property management, facilities management, or a similar role focused on technical operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with building automation and energy management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
  • Proficient in using computer programs and software, including property management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and building automation software.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
