SENIOR PURCHASING EXECUTIVE
(Male Female)
We are a BOI approved company established over 40 years ago and one of the foremost embellishment service providers to the Apparel Industry with plants in Sri Lanka and Overseas.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong leadership qualities for the post of Senior Purchasing Executive. Selected candidate will Head the Procurement Division and only those who meet the following requirements should
Job Role
- Coordinating and negotiating with suppliers for all purchasing requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders while adhering to quality standards.
- Prepare and handle purchase orders, meticulously tracking and following up on the receipt of goods to maintain seamless operations.
- Monitor stock inventories closely and proactively order goods as and when needed to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure proper coordination with Finance Dept., Merchandising Dept., and Stores to align purchasing activities with budgetary constraints and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Further qualifications in Supply Chain Management or any other similar field will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in computer literacy and a good command of spoken and written English are essential
- 2-4 years of experience in purchasing/procurement roles, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. Previous experience in the Apparel Industry or in a Manufacturing Company in the Purchasing Dept will be an added advantage
