GENERAL MANAGER OPERATIONS - CBL GLOBAL FOODS LIMITED
LOCATION: ALAWWA
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and result-driven professional to join as the General Manager Operations at CBL Global Foods Limited, which is an export-focused subsidiary that manufactures a range of coconut-related products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership and management: Provide daily leadership for factory operations and oversee overall operations to meet strategic business objectives.
- Efficiency and effectiveness: Implement measures to reduce waste, enhance productivity, and ensure the reliability and cost-effectiveness of production lines.
- Safety and compliance: Maintain Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and environmental management systems to standards, ensuring compliance.
- Talent management: Ensure appropriate staffing and competency levels across production processes, conducting performance appraisals, providing training, coaching, and guidance for competency development and retention.
- Additional responsibilities: Manage expansion projects within quality standards and timelines.
- Machinery and asset optimization: Guarantee optimal utilization of machinery and assets by maintaining high levels of equipment reliability. Recommend replacements and expansions as needed to align with strategic objectives in a timely manner.
CANDIDATE PROFILE/ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Occupational Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety guidelines, prioritizing employee well-being and compliance with regulations.
- Strategic Problem Solving and Influence: Exhibit adeptness in complex problem-solving and influencing at a senior level, navigating challenges to drive effective solutions and organizational change.
- Operations Management Expertise: Possess a comprehensive understanding of operations management theories and principles to optimize factory operations and drive efficiency.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrate proficiency in budgeting and expense management, with a foundational understanding of financial and accounting practices to support decision-making.
- Manufacturing Operations and Project Management: Apply expertise in manufacturing operations, production, and engineering principles, coupled with experience in project management, to drive continuous improvement and successful project execution.
- Leadership and People Management: Foster a culture of collaboration, development, and high performance among teams.
Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering/Management/Production or any related field.
Postgraduate Degree in Production/Business Management/Manufacturing or a similar field is advantageous.
10+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role in a similar industry.
