Join us as a Manager Regulatory Reporting Compliance
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual for the Manager - Regulatory Reporting Compliance to join our Compliance Team at Union Bank.
The Job Role
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial returns submitted by the bank to regulatory authorities, including the CBSL.
- Participate in regulatory examinations and audits and assist in addressing any findings or recommendations related to regulatory reporting.
- Conduct reviews related to the bank's compliance and that of group companies.
- Stay up to date with changes in banking regulations and reporting requirements issued by the CBSL and ensure that reporting processes are adjusted accordingly.
- Develop and maintain documentation of regulatory reporting processes, procedures, and controls.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing the results of regulatory return verification activities and communicate findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Review the present internal policies, circulars and continuous updating of Compliance related Policies in line with relevant CBSL Directives.
- Ensure compliance program targets are met, including conducting regulatory reviews and verifications.
- Ensure that all the documentation/ recorded evidence collected pertaining to reviews/branch visits/ return verifications are compiled according to the adopted filing process.
- Maintain regular contact and cultivate a positive working relationship with CBSL regulators regarding Regulatory Returns matters.
The Person
- At least 05 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial analysis, or audit within the banking/Finance industry.
- Full/ part qualification in banking accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
