Quality Manager
We are an award winning organization known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the food processing industry located in Seethawaka Local Government area; As the organization continue to grow and expand its operations, we are seeking for a QA manager /Assistant Manager to join the team and contribute to our ongoing success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage quality assurance processes in a food manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, certification systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and participate in audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Handle customer complaints with efficiency and professionalism.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product quality.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and other essential documents related to quality assurance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in food science, animal science, agriculture, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a food manufacturing environment. Poultry experience is a significant advantage.
- Hands-on experience in handling ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/FSSC 22000, BRC, and Organic certification systems, as well as systems auditing.
- Proven ability to deliver results against internal and external standards within specified time frames.
- Independent and unbiased work approach.
- Capacity and capability in complaint handling, problem-solving, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and system improvement.
- Lead auditor qualification in Quality/Food Safety is a distinct advantage.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competent in developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and other system-related documents.
