Position Available:
Development Merchandiser
Position Objective:
Optimize resources usage to meet sample deadlines and offer competitive prices. Get involved with garment costing, sourcing, and developing fabrics, trims, and embellishments on time to ensure perfect 'first time development samples' are released.
Job Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly study design sketches to identify customer requirements and finalize the sample process to meet deadlines.
- Conduct progress meetings with suppliers and cross-functional departments.
- Follow up on sample critical paths and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Communicate efficiently and identify key areas of concern for corrective actions.
- Act as a key link to the developments team.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a product development merchandiser.
- In-depth knowledge of apparel industry and products.
- Degree or diploma in relevant field.
- Previous experience in a multicultural environment is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
