Job Summary
We're looking for a Group Accountant to assist our senior management with Management Accounting, Financial Accounting & Payroll for a group of companies. The goal is to contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth costing management and long-term success by maintaining the group of companies' accounting books with strict accounting principle guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate various management accounting reports for senior management.
- Handle financial accounting and reporting for multiple jurisdictions (SL/AUS/NZ/UK).
- Manage both local and overseas staff payroll. Oversee the corporate month-end accounting process.
- Prepare monthly management reports and consolidated financial statements for the group.
- Develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring expenses align with management reporting packs.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax accountants.
- Prepare and lodge monthly corporate taxes, income tax, and quarterly business activity statements (BAS).
- Supervise junior accounting staff.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 03 years in management accounting.
- Strong technical background, with experience in consolidated and statutory reporting.
- Chartered Audit background preferred.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Excel and other accounting software. Professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA.
