Fabric Technologist

SCOPE

  • The Fabric Technologist - Development & Bulk is responsible for executing the raw material (RM) development and bulk fabric technology processes for the assigned customer account(s). This includes mill evaluations, technical risk assessments, fabric testing, customer approvals, ensuring the supply, troubleshooting for bulk fabric issues, and managing profitability and SRM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for executing fabric technology processes for RM development (e.g., mill evaluations, technical risk assessments).
  • Execute fabric processes for Bulk to achieve supply objectives (e.g., bulk risk assessments, approvals, troubleshooting).
  • Implement assigned functional improvement projects, focusing on supply, profitability, and SRM.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve functional objectives. Required skills include fabric and trim item testing, quality approval, and color evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Textile Technology, or any other relevant stream.
  • A Degree or Diploma in Textile and Clothing Technology would be an added advantage. 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the Fabric Technology function, demonstrating strong technical knowledge of raw materials and fabric technology processes.
