Key Responsibilities

- Support and Partner with the CIO to develop and implement the department's strategic vision and long-term goals.
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT infrastructure and systems support team, including task delegation, performance management, and staff development.
- Lead and manage IT projects of varying complexity, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
- Analyze and troubleshoot IT issues and provide effective remedial recommendations falling in line with the latest technology standards.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing solutions to improve IT efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as the secondary point of contact for senior management on IT-related issues and initiatives.
- Provide effective support to the business in managing technology requirements, IT budgets and resources effectively.
Attributes and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a leadership role within an IT department supporting a business environment.
- Proven track record of success in managing and motivating IT teams.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems, including network administration, cybersecurity, and systems support.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
