REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
HELP-O is inviting expressions of interest from qualified resource persons to conduct training on community participation in Local Governance. The training aims to equip unskilled community groups with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective participation in local governance processes.
Scope of Services:
- Interested parties are requested to submit a detailed CV that includes their experience, expertise, and a comprehensive plan for efficient and effective training on the following topics:
- Community participation in Local Governance.
- Existing opportunities for community participation in local governance.
- Strategies for achieving community participation in local governance.
- Purpose and establishment of committee systems in local government bodies.
- Local Government Law.
- Rights assigned to citizens in local government by constitutional law.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- The Resource Person should possess the following qualifications:
- Ability to manage, direct, and coordinate unskilled community groups.
- Ability to provide an understanding of the definition of citizen participation.
- Ability to provide awareness on the benefits of citizen participation.
- Ability to provide an understanding of the strategies a local government can adopt to achieve citizen participation.
- Ability to provide an understanding of the purpose for which the committee system of local government bodies has been established.
- Ability to provide an understanding of the powers of the constitutional law relating to the establishment of committee system in local government bodies.
- Ability to provide an understanding of the rights assigned to the citizen in local government by the constitutional law.
A firm/individual will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the HELP-O. Interested firms/individuals may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm. on working days.
