Assistant Manager

(Communications and External Relations)

The Gamani Corea Foundation (hereinafter the "Foundation") is an autonomous, non-profit, charitable institution that aims to promote economic and multi-disciplinary research into international and national economic development. The mission of the GCF is to contribute to the socio-economic development of Sri Lanka and other low-income and middle-income countries through informed, independent, high-quality research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, media, or other relevant degree from a recognized university or a professional body.

Professional competencies:

  • Fluent in English and proficient in either Sinhala or Tamil (reading, writing, and speaking) or both languages. Tri-lingual capability is an advantage.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage various communication platforms including but not limited to websites and social media platforms.

Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of work experience in communications and media will be useful but is not mandatory.

Age:

  • Below 35 years

  • Will match industry standards to the right candidate
