VACANCY FOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
We at Headrogen are currently seeking to recruit Entry-level Mechanical Design Engineers. We are inviting individuals who would like to pursue their Career in the Building Services Engineering (Specialize in HVAC/Plumbing) and join our growing and talented team in Sri Lanka.
As part of a diverse team, you'll collaborate with others team members by applying your skills to reshape and re-think engineering to design a better future for the community, society and social wellbeing. You will also work alongside with industry leading professionals, mentors and peers and work on most complex and challenging projects locally and overseas while based in Colombo.

This role will see you expand on your existing experience by working on iconic projects across the hospitality industry (Hotels, resorts, holidays destinations), commercial, education, residential, healthcare, pharmaceutical, warehouses etc. Relevant Buildings experience or interest in the building services industry is required. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to act autonomously in a project environment, ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary design inputs from your peers. Willing to work on most challenging and complex projects and ready to work with team of skillful engineers with dignity and honesty.
Here are the key things you will need to have as a minimum:
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering (Mandatory)
- Relevant knowledge and experience: up to one-year experience (Freshers also can apply)
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc. where applicable)
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, including heat transfer, psychometrics, understanding Plumbing codes pipe sizing and fluid dynamics
- Understanding of design software's applicable to your disciplines such cooling load calculation, Duct sizing, Pump head calculation Energy simulation etc.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Experience in Revit will be an added advantage
- Ability to take initiative and accountability for your work
- Have courage to take challenges and ready to challenge norms
