Accounts Assistant (Colombo)
Samtessi Brush Manufacturers (Pvt.) Ltd., a member of the DSI Samson Group is a leading brush manufacturing company having more than 29 years of experience in the brush industry.
We are looking for experienced, energetic, self-motivated individuals who meet the following requirements to join our factory. There is a vacancy for the above position for immediate engagement depending on the competencies of the suitable candidate who is looking for a career with us.
Qualifications required
- Process a sound academic background with G.C.E A/L in commerce stream.
- Possess part qualification in CA/ACCA/AAT would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of accounting and Finance principles
Minimum 1 year of working experience in a finance department of a commercial organization. Preferably male candidate
Age below 30 years.
Competencies required
- Possess high level of commitment integrity & adaptability with good IT skills
- Have an exposure to an Accounting Systems (MYOB, ACCPACC, QB etc.) and ERP System
- Good written and verbal communication skills and attention to details
- Dynamic, result-oriented person with the ability to work under pressure are essential attributes
Job Responsibilities
- Print cheques, dispatch relevant cheques to suppliers, and place stop payments.
- Provide information requested by the suppliers
- Ensure the scheduled payments are sent for relevant banks before the cutoff time.
- Coordinate with banks and do the needful as and when required.
- Prepare bank transfers and coordinate with relevant parties.
- Another related document works.
