The Person We Are Looking For..

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated person for the above post of Junior System Administrator to look after the daily operations. The successful candidate will report to the IT Business Systems Manager and be responsible for tasks optimizing the productivity of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Strengthening the IT infrastructure through implementing new technologies.
  • Upgrade and reconfigure system software that supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
  • Set up, manage, and monitor servers to ensure business continuity and production.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of SLC Active Directory and Exchange.
  • Tier 2 administration for all SLC application databases.
  • Tier 2 administration SLC ERP Systems & other applications.
  • Attended to the incidents received by the IT Help Desk promptly to solve the issues and to fulfill service requests to ensure smooth IT services that meet the agreed service levels.
  • Assure effective on-site and remote customer support service and provide efficient and exceptional customer service that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Reviewing the current procedures to suggest and implement service improvement initiatives to ensure that they meet Operation Level Agreements OLA) as specified.
  • Compliance with audit rules and regulations regarding application servers and databases.
  • Create and maintain good technical documentation.
  • Input into IT policies and development.
  • Work with other technical teams to triage support tickets.
  • Ensure email and other communication systems are operating properly, and efficiently, and following corporate security and retention policies. Coordinating the activities about the deployment of IT equipment with internal/external service teams/providers to ensure that the minimum time is taken for these deliveries and activities.
  • Ensure IT Issues are being resolved on time according to the policies in place.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 06 years or more experience in the relevant field.
  • Full or part professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 6.
  • Credit Passes for English and Mathematics for G.C.E (O/L) and G.C.E. (A/L) qualification.
  • Proven work experience in ICT Administration.
  • Familiarity with multiple Operating Systems, System Security, and databases.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
  • Sound planning and organizing skills coupled with a methodical approach to work.
  • Should be below 40 years.
