PERFORMANCE LUBRICANTS (PVT) LTD

THIS ROLE IS FOR A LEADING GLOBAL LUBRICANT BRAND ENTERING NEWLY INTO SRI LANKA

LOCATION: COLOMBO

The Role involves:

  • Launching of a new lubricants brand with low brand awareness in a highly competitive and price oriented market.
  • Acquiring market share with sustainable growth under fierce competition from many key international and major local players who have long been established and dominated the market.
  • Develop and implement lubricant sales plan /forecast through analyzing sales volume in B2C & B2B segment and conducting studies on competitor market information and lubes demand to achieve lubricants business objectives nationwide.
  • Lead the sales team progress through close monitoring of sales performance to ensure that sales activities and sales strategy achieve agreed sales target with highest profitability and gaining of market share.
  • Lead, manage, coach and inspire all field Based sales executives and key account to handle new and existing customers or distributors and be accountable for the overall team performance in line with Business Policy & Principles.
  • Utilize global selling points, agreed sales and marketing plan and sales tool techniques to achieve financial targets (Volume, Revenue, Margin etc.) Sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assist the formulation and implementation of the marketing activities as company strategy.
  • Maximize and Spend significant time coaching and jointly visiting major customers/ distributors and prospects to develop skills, knowledge and motivate team to achieve targets.
  • Arrange training to develop sales competencies. Provide regular performance feedback to team and provide career development guidance to team members. Ensure team understand Business Principles and operate within the Level of Authority and the Standard practice.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all Support Functions to assist sales in resolving complex issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Joint with Marketing assess business performance, Strategy, Price Management and Customer/ Distributors management and take appropriate action to improve performance.
  • Develop Sales Action Plan and Distributor Business Plan based on agreed marketing strategy, developing profitable customers within preferred target sectors and segments.
  • Ensure Sales team/ Distributor Business Plan/ Quarterly review effectively use Sales tool, Price Management, Demand forecast and Customer Promise processes.
  • Supervise the development and dissemination of marketing materials and supplier promotional materials.
  • Identify and develop relationships with trade associations, develop strategies for attending trade shows, conferences, and business meetings. Develop trade show materials and exhibits.
  • Participate in credit review meetings with the CFO and Credit Manager.
  • Provide weekly reports to top management and attend top management meetings to review performance and revise strategies.

The Person:

  • The person should be a graduate and possess at least 8 - 10 years of work experience in sales & marketing, preferably distributing reputed lubricants brand(s) and/or automobile spare parts, tyres, batteries and so on.
  • Professional qualifications in sales and marketing with experience in supervising sales team(s) would be an added advantage
