RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture and design discussions providing technical expertise, guidance, and recommendations to ensure the successful implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and budget constraints to design cost-effective AWS cloud architectures.
- Design and implement AWS architectures that adhere to best practices for cost optimization, performance, security, and reliability.
- Stay abreast of the latest AWS technologies, services, and trends, and evaluate their applicability to projects.
- Continuously monitor and analyze AWS usage and cost metrics to identify opportunities for further optimization and cost savings.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- AWS certification - AWS Certified Solutions Architect (at least Associate, Professional preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in architecting, deploying and securing critical applications on the AWS cloud platform.
- Professional experience in implementing cost saving strategies and cloud economies of scale.
- In-depth understanding of AWS pricing models, and cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets and AWS Trusted Advisor.
- Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK to manage cloud infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud concepts such as high availability, application integration, functions, serverless computing, developer tools, security, and identity management.
- Hands-on experience working with serverless technologies such as Fargate, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Aurora Serverless and DynamoDB
- Professional experience defining or leveraging CICD pipelines such as CodePipeline..
- Comprehensive knowledge of basic AWS services such as IAM, EC2, RDS, ElasticBeanstalk, CloudWatch, CloudFront etc.
