Job Title: QA Chemist
Key Responsibilities:
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Conduct quality control tests of inbound materials or finished products.
- Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed.
- Supervise the preparation of compounds or solutions for products.
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Develop, improve, or customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, or analytical methods.
- Purchase laboratory supplies, such as chemicals, when supplies are low or near their expiration date.
- Perform any other functions specified by the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure timely records/reports submission.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Physics in a relevant field.
- Fresher or with minimum 1 year of experience.
- Knowledge in ISO system and GMP will be an added advantage. Experience in ERP or SAP.
- Sound communication skills.
- Experience in handling people and customers.
