ENGINEER OPERATIONS IN-CHARGE (EASTERN REGION)
THE JOB
- Accountable for entire regional network operational activities to ensure the achievement of regional KPIs while placing the optimized model in all aspects (cost efficiency / effectiveness of action).
- Responsible to maintain, update and critically study regional network data (breakdowns / alarms / quality issues/customer issues) and provide solutions.
- Plan and develop appropriate communication plan with all stakeholders to effective coordination and maintenance of issues.
- Maintain an appropriate balance of effort between planned, preventative, performance, and emergency maintenance activities to establish the correct balance between risk, quality, and affordability.
- Manage breakdown incidents, ensuring prompt recovery, build operational relationships, intervene on-site as needed.
- Ensure optimized spare distribution among depots to achieve operational and service excellence.
- Take necessary action to avoid repetition of faults by consulting Regional Manager (RM) and vendors as and when required.
- Oversee regional operations, including on-call scheduling, preventive actions, and issue management.
- Ensure all operational activities are in line with health and safety protocols and other compliance requirements.
- Identify areas for improvement and cost reductions and establish cost-efficient process and methodologies to perform regional activities.
- Lead and direct depot staff to deliver high level of performance by conducting periodic performance reviews.
THE PERSON
- B.Sc. degree in Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized university accredited by IESL
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Specially in effective communication, time management, leading teams and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience in Telecommunications/Electronics/Electrical will be an added advantage
